Scrappers Club Meeting-Tues Jan 19th. Join our monthly meeting and have fun while you learn about new techniques, products and get lots of great new ideas! $15 per month fee (3 month registration required)

Stamping and Embossing Demo, Sat Jan 23rd. 11am-3pm. Stop by and learn how to create fun & fancy cards, tags, etc. FREE!

A Year of Cards-Wed, Jan 27th 6:30pm. You'll make one card for each month. Keep for yourself or give as a gift! Class fee $25

We're starting something NEW at Making Memories to help you get your projects DONE!! It's called "POWER CROPPIN'"! Each week, we'll have a 2 hour "POWER CROPPIN SESSION" where you will focus on ONE project so you can complete it! All you're ALLOWED to bring is ONE PROJECT and the tools/products necessary to complete it. That's right, ladies. Leave the huge rolling totes at home! You only bring what you ABSOLUTELY need to make your layout, cards, etc. You'll stay focused, won't have to root through thousands of items that are packed in your rolling tote (you know what I mean!) and get something ACCOMPLISHED! If you do this every week, think of what you can accomplish in 2010!! Best of all...it's FREE!! We want you to make time for yourself! Call us to reserve your space 618-281-1991. Now that the holidays are over (finally!), it's time to get busy and do some serious scrappin! Check out the adorable layout you can make with the Fiskars Snow Corner & Border punch! Use it to create a border around the edges of your background pages and to add emphasis to your photos by just punching one corner or using the border by itself! So much fun and soooo simple!!

Christmas time is one of the most memorable times of the year for many of us. Most holidays come and go, however, Christmas is full of memories that warm our heart year round. It's a season that utilizes all of our senses. The beauty of the decorations, the smell of cookies baking, sounds of Christmas music, the feel of the ribbon and bows on gifts, the taste of roast turkey or ham at Christmas dinner. It is truly the most enchanting holiday of the year! Christmas memories are some of the most precious memories we hold. A child's first Christmas. A special gift. The last Christmas with a special loved one. Our memories allow us to travel back in time to experience that warm and fuzzy feeling anytime we want.

Memories are like having a DVR in our head. Unfortunately, we simply cannot remember every little detail year after year. That's why our scrapbooks are so important! Your scrapbooks open a door to the past and allow us to take a walk down memory lane. Make sure this holiday season that you capture those memories in your photos. I was very skeptical, as some of you know, but am keeping an open mind and will update you on my progress. Here's what's in store for the month of November:

Spooky Kids Layout Class with Sidney, Saturday, Nov 7th at 10am. Bring the kids (ages 6-12) to create their own 8 1/2 x 11 2 page layout for halloween. It's for kids and taught by a kid! Class fee: $8

Thank You Cards with Mary, Thursday, Nov 12th at 6:30pm. Mary has done it again. More adorable, fun & creative cards to use for a thank you for the Thanksgiving dinner invitation, or your favorite holiday gifts. Make these & give as a gift or keep them for yourself! Class fee: $15

Christmas Tag Make & Take, Satuday, Nov 14th from 10am-4pm. Join us for a fun time while you make a Christmas tag to use on your holiday gifts and it's FREE!!!

Recycled Cards Make & Take, Sunday, Nov 15th 1-3pm. Celebrate National Recycling Day with this fun Make & Take with Theresa! She'll show you how to recycle those store bought cards you receive to make an adorable recycled card. Bring an old, store bought card you've received & we'll provide the rest. Fee is $2 and will be donated to a local area food pantry.

Christmas Cards with Theresa, Monday, Nov 16th. This class will be held from 10am-12pm and again at 6:30-8:30pm. You'll create five gorgeous holiday cards (these are different from our recent holiday card classes) to dazzle your family and friends! Class fee: $15.

Scrappers Club Meeting, Tuesday, Nov 17th at 7pm. Our group meets once a month to discuss our scrapbook project that we received the month prior. If you join, you'll meet new people, learn new techniques, learn about new products and tools and have a great time! Enrollment fee includes the cost of your monthly kit. Stop by Making Memories to see our last few projects! $15 monthly fee to join & requires a three month committment.

Creative Cards Workshop with Alyssa, Wednesday, Nov 18th. This class has been moved up a week due to Thanksgiving, but Alyssa is back and ready to teach you five new, fun & adorable cards! Class fee: $15

Cricut Design Studio Class, Monday, Nov 23rd at 6:30pm. I'll teach you how to master your Design Studio software and take the fear and frustration out of it! Class fee: $15

Holiday Treat Can Make & Take, Saturday, Nov 28th from 12pm-4pm. You'll decorate an adorable clear pale to give your favorite holiday treats or gifts using the Cricut vinyl. Fee: $5.

Cricut Expression Class, Monday, Nov 30th at 6pm. I'll take the fear and frustration out of all those buttons on your Cricut machine! In just 3 hours you'll be an expert Cricut-teer! Class fee: $20

Making Memories Scrapbook Store's Crop-N-Time's are from 6pm-11pm and include the use of our Cricut Cartridge library (so bring your Cricut) as well as our die cut machines and punches. Our dates for November are:

Friday, November 13th and Friday, November 27th. The fee is $5 per person. During November, bring a friend and receive a $5 coupon for your purchase that evening.
